The Government Council for Drug Policy Coordination (the 'Council' or 'GCDPC') is a permanent body of the Government of the Czech Republic acting in the area of drug policy. Key policy documents in this field include: National Drug Policy Strategy and Action Plan for the Implementation of the National Drug Policy Strategy.
The CGDPC collects, discusses and submits to the Government information, materials and proposals for the creation and implementation of the Government’s drug policy and coordinates the fulfilment of tasks stemming from the National Drug Policy Strategy of the Czech Republic at international, central, regional and local levels. The Council informs the government and the public about the drug situation by presenting the Annual Report on the State of the Drugs Problem in the Czech Republic. The Council also operates a system for the provision of funding from the Drug Policy chapter of the state budget.
